With over 500 craft breweries between The Gold Coast and Melbourne, the craft beer revolution is real and growing every day. On any given day Backbone Bar will have up to 24 different craft beers on tap but also many others available as tinnies, so there is no reason for not finding a great cold one to enjoy. The perfect mix of solid local faves, special release kegs and new to market beers, some of the beers you could find on tap are: –

The beer menu is fluid, no pun intended and is changing all the time. New beers are added, and old beers can reappear on any given day. The only way to stay up to date is to pop into Backbone and check out the menu and pick your new favourite drop.
Currumbin Valley Brewery
Currumbin Valley, located just inland from the busy Southern Gold Coast, is a nature-lovers paradise. The area is the perfect location for a farmhouse brewery with a focus on capturing wild yeast and brewing artisanal handcrafted beers. The brewery features a natural free flowing spring water source and we have just over 110,000 litres of spring water stored on-site at any one time. All our beers are created using water from our very own natural volcanic
Fonzie Abbott
The correlation between spirits, beer and good times is pretty self-explanatory. With Fonzie Abbott Pale Ale winning bronze at the Royal Queensland Food and Wine Show, and all of their beers & spirits brewed and distilled on-site at their Brisbane headquarters, they are local legends that will ensure you are never thirsty again.
Black Hops
Black Hops started in 2014 as a simple idea over a beer with 3 good mates Dan, Eddie and Govs. Their award-winning beers are unpasteurised and made with no preservatives right here in Burleigh Heads and Biggera Waters on the Gold Coast. Bringing us staples like the Pale Ale and East Coast Haze, and new limited-edition brews released all the time, we are always keen to see what the guys at Black Hops have in store for us next.
Moondog
This is what it’s all about, right? Bloody delicious, no-rules beers. Moon Dog brings us every style, from stouts to sours and everything in-between. And as you may have noticed, they’ll put pretty much anything into a beer if they think it will taste good. So strap in and get ready to try something a bit different.
